Brief Description:  Finishing the Wing Tanks

Another long evening installing the wing root bulkhead covers. Same process as before, identify the pin hole leaks, remove, weld, repeat. Fuel tanks were tested with a vertical column of water, so if you do the math that's 3.25 psi pressure testing on each end, no leaks, very satisfied. Next step will be to drill and install the nut plates on the wing root rib to keep the tanks stationary in flight. The quick connect hardware is valved, so that's why there is no water leaking out. The only critical part about the fuel system remaining is the amount of clearance between the quick connect fittings and the fuselage truss after I drill through the fiberglass body to accomodate the fittings. At this point it's time to start shifting focus toward the engine mount design.
