The digital magnetometer came with the Grand Rapids Technology Mini-X for free because I pre-ordered the unit. I decided to mount it in the left wing tip since the other wing had a landing light. I had to modify the wiring to reach his far by adding an additional DB9 cable. I also had to make a cable that goes from the EFIS and screws into the removable wing connector (same connector type as position lights and landing light).
