I wasn't real happy with the way the tips came out. Pure epoxy filler over foam was too soft and would sand as well as I wanted. I routed it all off/out with the dremel and then lay in some layers of glass cloth. Hopefully this will set up harder and be easier to shape. I'll leave it to set until tomorrow evening, then do some basic sanding and shaping. After that I'll do some more filler and just smooth things out a little and hopefully, as long as I'm satisfied with the results, I can leave it at that until final filling/sanding prior to priming & painting.
