I'm *much* happier with the way the tips turned out with the layers of glass cloth I put on last night. I cut off the excess and roughly sanded them tonight before applying a layer of filler. Hopefully I'll be able to give them a decent sanding tomorrow to 'final' shape and then fit them. Final filling and sanding will take place prior to priming & painting.
