Edge-finished and deburred the instrument panel doublers and flange strip. Damn, but that flange strip was a pain in the a**! Those three parts are ready for priming. The instructions call for them to be all riveted together, but I'm not yet certain what instruments or switches I might put into the right-hand side panel yet, so I'm a bit reluctant.
On my panel photos (here) I had a compass on the left side. Obviously I have the SteinAir vent there now, but perhaps I might put the compass on the right side instead? If so, I really need to cut that big hole before the sub-panel is installed. It would be really, really difficult with it in place. Maybe I'll order a compass and fit it now. Not sure what to do really. Hmmm...
Anyway, we also sorted out all the forward top skin and baggage door parts ready for the next couple of pages of construction.
