Brief Description: Tom Clark fastback - rivet top skin
More of the same. Did the top halves of the F-807 and F-810 bulkheads and then started on the middle of the left side longeron to complete the middle bay. I seem to have got several rivets that are significantly softer than others and flatten like pancakes; they will need to come out again. I've also decided that the lower two rivets on the left side of the F-809 bulkhead will need to come out and I'll try to insert a shim there; the 'dimpling' of the skin at that point is just too noticeable. I've marked all the 're-do's' required and will go back and tackle them once all the riveting is done. I tell you what though, even though I'm a small guy, it sure isn't easy getting right up the back there; and in theory I should have slightly more room than a standard fuselage due to the increased height of the fastback! Incidentally, we just hit 1201 'man-hours' on the build tonight...
