My right-angle air drill arrived from Avery today; very nice it is too. It will be much easier to handle than that unwieldy righ-angle attachment I have now. I'll use it a lot when fitting the Tom Clark fastback top skin.
I also learnt something about Kitlog this morning when printing the PDF report. I noticed some entries were truncated. Sure enough, when I checked the actual Kitlog, they are. There is obviously a character limit on the entry field. I've been writing quite a lot recently, and now some of that is simply lost. I'm not going to go back and try to remember and re-enter. Tough luck, and lesson learned.
Spent half an hour re-checking my elevator travel measurements. Basically, 29 deg up and 22 deg down; within the acceptable limits of 25/30 up and 20/25 down, so that's ok. I then mixed up just a little primer and re-primered the F-812 control stop and the various holes on the VS spar that had been drilled during assembly. Once dry, I riveted and bolted the stop in place, then re-fitted the VS and hung the rudder, all of which took me a another hour and a half: some fiddly places to try and get nuts and washers in place and tightened! Next job: rudder stops.
