I can't believe it has been nearly a month since I last looked at the plane! No wonder it is taking so long. Its this fastback; everything about it is custom and a challenge; especially when I don't know what I'm doing most of the time and have to stop and learn about stuff!
Anyway, tonight Jackie and I cleaned up the workshop (it was in a bit of a mess with saw dust and wood cuttings every where after I built Chester's new house). Then we put the canopy back on the plane. The reason for all this sudden activity was the fact that I had made contact with a guy that does fibreglass stuff for planes (or did in the recent past) who was going to help me get started when I didn't know where to begin. He arrived, we spent a couple of hours going over some stuff and the net result is I now have some guidance and a plan. I'm working for the rest of the week, including the weekend (depending on weather), but in the evenings next week I should be able to get started.
I'm not logging any time against this activity this evening since we didn't actually do anything specific. Got some photos of the canopy on the plane though.
