Spent hours polishing Trim fins with 320,400,600,1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and then used Nuvite G9 and C to polish.
Painted Spar with primer and final coated with gloss white. Used the "rolling magnet " alignment technique to locate the spar. Drilled 1/8th " holes on 3" centers and used clecos to stabilize. Fastened with 1/8' steel pop rivets.
Trial fit the horizontal fin and adjusted to match contour of vertical fin. Used the same "magnet" technique to locate and drill the spar. Riveted in place with 1/8" steel rivets.
Fabricated two doublers which join the trailing edge of the vertical trim fin and provide a means of establishing the angle of incidence of the horizontal fin.
