I sanded the aileron and flap ribs to remove rough edges and splinters as well as to smooth the transition to the fiberglass leading edge. The power sander was a big help here as I had to remove a bit of wood from the front of each rib web to make it even with the leading edge material. I also drilled holes in the rib caps for the fabric rivets the same as the wing ribs.
