Brief Description: Covered Horizontal Stabs & Right Elevator
I started covering, as usual a new skill set to learn. I’m using the Stewart’s System with the Superflite 102 fabric supplied with the kit. I decided to use Stewart’s for a couple of reasons. It’s more forgiving than the other products. The working time for the glue is measured in hours rather than minutes. Also Stewart’s is water based and nontoxic. If I used one the solvent based products I wouldn’t be able to work in my garage. The VOC’s would get in my house. Not good.
I started with the horizontal stabilizers and now have one of the elevators half done. It’s taking me a lot longer than the guy inthe Stewart’s instructional DVD.
