I finally finished the fabric plates on the wings, ailerons and flaps. I wanted to use 3/32 flush aluminum rivets similar to the ones supplied by Just with the kit. I also needed the same rivets to finish installing the anchor nuts for the wing tip attach screws. It’s taken me a month to get them. I bought rivets from a local supplier, after installing about 30 of them I thought something just didn’t seem right. I removed one of the rivets from it’s mandrel and tested it with a magnet. It was steel. I drilled out those rivets and made an order from a different supplier. It took two weeks to get them. They assured me they were aluminum but the magnet test revealed them to be steel as well. I finally called Just, they sent some real aluminum rivets to me right away.
After riveting the plates, I used body filler to fill in the small gaps and smooth the transition from plates to surrounding structure.
