Frustrating day. Basically just replacing the many rivets I screwed up while riveting the ribs. At the time I just wanted to get things together before the pro-seal set. That done, it's now time to go back and make sure every rivet is acceptable.
Very difficult trying to drill out the stiffener rivets because I sealed the shop heads with proseal already. Just hard because the tank is together and you can't see the stiffener rivets. They're hidden behind the vertical part of the stiffener. Seems like I am still out of practice. For every five rivets I drill out and replace, two of them must be done yet again. Ugh. I've resigned myself to making this tanks 100 percent acceptable, so I'll continue on this path for a week or two. I'm still somewhat confused on what's acceptable and what's not? Need to ask around.
I also found since using the new mushroom set from Cleveland that it helps if you put on dot on the rivet head tape. This helps me to zero in on the factory head and hopefully get a better set.
More updates this weekend I'm sure. Might be a busy weekend so not sure how much I'll get done.
