Brief Description:  Horizontal Stabalizer Ready to Rivet

Been a while since I updated my Builder's Log, but haven't made a lot of progress lately. With temps below freezing, getting the primer, parts, and paint booth warmed up enough to paint has been difficult.

By leaving the primer at home or in my car during the hour ride home from work, it seems to be okay within an hour or two of getting to the hangar. Warming the booth and parts isn't too difficult using the kerosine torpedo-heater (60,000 btu).

So...everything for the Horizontal Stabalizer is now primed, and I'm ready to rivet. I posted a question to the VAF forum regarding rivet orientation, and within 20 minutes I had a reply! Simply amazing to me. What a network of people all over the world.

Also we finished the backriveting plate this week. Katie chiseled away with hammer and hand-tool. Wish I had her patience for that stuff. Came out really nice though.

Heading bac to the airport right now to pick up where I left off.
