Beautiful evening and perfect environment to work at the hangar. Ended up notching the Horizontal Stabalizer ends to make room for the Elevator Ends. Used a Dremel with cutting wheel at a very low RPM to get a nice straight & clean cut.
Finished and smoothed with a file, followed by a red abrasive Dremel bit that I bought at Oshkosh for a buck. Came out fairly nice. Might have to trim even more once I do the fiberglass tips, but for now at least the Elevator can swing through the full range of motion without binding or nicking.
Next up is to mark & drill the Elevator Horns. I see various ways to do this, but have yet to find this in the instructions anywhere. Must look again. Maybe it's in the Finishing Kit area or maybe the Fuselage section...not sure.
