Well...thought I would be assembling the Elevator/Horiz. Stab. last night but instead I found some more work to do: - Noticed that I never rolled the leading edge of the right elevator. Fun fun. Next week after returning from my business trip to Seattle. - Missing a few leading edge rivets. No problem now that I have a thin yoke and the Main Squeeze. Will do that when I get back as well. - And most embarassing...I installed the left-elevtor counter-weight the wrong direction. This was not apparent until lining up the pieces and noticing that things just didn't fit right.
Spent a good while trying to remove the counter-weight. Ended up hammering out with a piece of wood to limit damage to weight and elevator structure. Took a good bit of pounding. Finally got things back together. Net gain = 0.
So this Monday I must travel out to Seattle for work. Hopefully I can hit it hard upon return!
