Brief Description: Final preparations for tank baffle installation.
I spent most of the 'work' day getting setup for the installation of the left hand tank rear baffle. I did a 'dry' run to make sure all the rivets would slip in place properly (I don't want to ream a misaligned hole because metal shavings would end up inside the tank). I planned out and made notes as to how I was going to go at this once the sealant is mixed. I roughened and cleaned all mating surfaces then modified an inexpensive ($9.99) blind rivet puller for attaching the Z-Brackets. I don't like the size of the hole left at the corners where the baffle meets the out and inboard ribs. I plan on fabricating a small filler that will be riveted in place to minimize the hole and give the sealant some additional surface area to adhere to.
