Brief Description: Preparing the right and left elevators.
I have to wait until I get help with bucking 11 rivets closest to the elevator skin trailing edges before I can bend them so I continued with preparing the elevators instead.
I am building the left and right hand elevators concurrently to save time on tool setups etc. I clecoed both tip assemblies together and marked where the two #12 counterweight holes will go. I removed the weights and drilled them out on my drill press then countersunk them. I used plenty of lubricating oil and took my time to get them just right.
Then I match drilled the tip assemblies to both of the elevator understructures.
Next up is to bend the trailing elevator edges (as soon as I get some help to buck the last few stiffener rivets).
