Brief Description: Riveted elevator stiffeners in place.
I back riveted the stiffeners in place on both the left and right hand elevators. This was accomplished a bit easier than the rudder stiffeners. Mainly because the elevator skins are thinner than the rudder skins so they flexed out of the way with less force to make room for the rivet gun. I had to redo 4 rivets on the right hand side and 2 on the left hand side. I used two 'oops' rivets in total (1/8" diameter shank but same head size as the -3's).
Remember to set only the first 2 rivets closest to the trailing edge on one side ONLY, then flip the component and then rivet the stiffeners on the opposite side completely. Then flip it back and finish off the remaining rivets.
Skipping this step makes it difficult to flex the side making it difficult to get the rivet gun vertical to rivet.
Next up is dimpling and installing the nutplates on the trim servo access cover then back riveting the assembly in place on the left hand elevator skin.
