Brief Description: Grove landing gear installation-Part 3.
I started by cutting and smoothing a notch at both ends of the F-802L bulkhead to accommodate the U-803 outboard brackets. This is only required when using the Grove airfoiled gear as it is thicker than the stock legs. Then I adjusted the legs (pivoting them around the inboard 7/16" bolts) so as to set them parallel to each other and equidistant from the most aft point of the fuselage. This took about a half hour and I got it pretty much right on. I used come-along straps to clamp everything in position. I'll start drilling holes in morning.
