I took a couple of weeks off after finishing the tail. Not really, just not working on airplanes. Due to the limited space I have in my basement I made some shelves in one of the rooms. My wife had much of her stuff in the big room, and a bunch of my stuff was in a room that would have been the most difficult to build in. So, I made shelves along a couple of walls so she could store all of her things in this one room.
I also inventoried the wing boxes and hardware. I got the plans out to inspect what is to come next. The wing fixture looked to be a big deal. I went to the aircraft fixture store (Home Depot) to buy a couple of 4x4's but they all were gone and the few left were pretty sad. But, the 4x6's looked really nice. Hey, I know it's overkill but I have plans for them later. Home improvement is never completed but that story will be for much later. So I mounted them into the floor joists and cut some 2" angle to mount the spar on. After bolting the angle level, I hung from the end and it changed .1 degrees according to the electronic level. I don't think I need to angle brace but if I do it won't be a big deal to do it later.
