Brief Description: Mount elev to HS and drill, make weights, finished
Big day today. Mounted the elevators to the HS and drilled the control horn piviots. Mounted the trim tab hinge on the elevator and drilled, debured, and riveted. Modify the lead weights and mount to the counterbalance arms.
I mounted the elevator about 4 times today. It needed some adjustments to the pivot points. It all travels smooth. The elevators while in trail measure the same on both the top and bottom. It's nice to know that everything is sqaure. So I'm finished with the empennage!! I'm sure that I will find some other small things to do so I'm not really finished but the big work is done.
I'm going to take a couple of days off to relax and catch up on some other things. Then I move onto the wings.
