Unfortunately, I managed to damage the bottom skin of my left horizontal tail when I was pulling the airplane attached to the rotisserie into my hangar. The wheels on the back half of the rotisserie under the tail got hung up on the lip of my hangar floor and tipped forward. As it tipped forward, the tail came down and the rearmost leg of the rotisserie came up and punched into the skin of the horizontal.
I called Lancair and told them where the skin was damaged, sent a photo, and asked for advice on how to fix it. They said it was not a problem structurally since I just punctured the skin with slight penetration into the honeycomb. They told me to clean it out and fill the hole with flox, then cover it with a 1 or 2 BID piece of carbon. As you can see, the damaged area is about the size of a quarter. After filling, I applied a 2 BID patch and covered it with peel ply.
