After sanding the initial carbon layup on the bottom of the left horizontal tail, there was still a low spot where the damage had occured. Another 2 BID layup was applied to the damaged area and feathered to the underside of the tail. It took a lot longer than anticipated and I porbably did much more than I really needed to, but it was my first repair and it's on an important surface of the airplane.
