Today, I worked on the Flap Handle Installation. First, I added the cross pieces of angle between the shear webs and then the .063 stiffeners on top. Then, I found all the pieces for the flap handle and began to assemble it. Ugh! The original Super Rebel kit didn't have the AN3-16 bolts required to put it together -- so another delay. I used some other temporary bolts with lots of washers. I also found the plans say to stretch the spring you install in the handle. It's difficult to stretch a hardened spring -- so off to the local Farm Supply to find a better spring. These things make something that should be simple to be much more difficult. So, after a full day, everything is in but the bolts need swapped out. I did install it per the instruction manual and didn't move it aft as some people mentioned on the forum.
I also pulled the parts for the two flap pulleys that attach to Bulkhead D, cleaned, prep'd and primed.
