Today, I began work on finishing the controls. I painted the aileron pulley mounts and the mising unit, then reinstalled them. I then worked on the torque tubes for the ailerons, but need to wait on a few bolts from ACS before I can finish them. Next, a friend came over, Don Walker, and brought his two grandsons. I was trying to get all the bolts through the stab/elevator hinges, but wasn't successful. I'll need to do some shimming or something on the workbench after I remove the assembly. I thought I had it together two years ago, but will need to check again. Not a major issue I'm sure, just difficulty from the tight spaces. I did get the two outer hinge bolts in. Finally, I began working on the rudder/elevator control cables. Surprising, they are not direct routing and there are several bends in the system. The plans simply use anti-chafe material, I'll need to think about that and may add a few pulleys.
