Brief Description:  Flaps

Today, I match drilled the skin onto the right flap framework, and then drilled to #30. In addition, I trimmed the center hinge cover to size, and match drilled it in place. It all took longer than I planned.

In the first photo, you see the paint cans adding weight and helping to keep the flap level. I'm not sure I'll use the straps on the next one -- we'll see if I can get it wrapped with only duct tape. The skin is really thin so you need to be very careful not to get any kinks/creases/dents.

I heard back from Darryl Murphy today. His recommendation for access to the third fuel bay in my right wing is to simply drill a 4" hole and proseal an access cover over it. When I complete the flaps, I'll move the wing back onto the table and work again on resealing the fuel tank.
