Today, I completed the leading edge. Involved pulling the two halves together with masking tape, marking, center punching, and drilling out holes, deburring, priming, and then riveting. Once complete, I went back over the entire elevator, and filed rivet heads smooth where the mandrels were protruding above the rivet head. I simply used a small flat file to knock down the mandrel. The elevator is ready for the paint shop.
