After an extended summer break, finally back to work. I went back to clean up outstanding items on the elevator. I repositioned the trim servo for equal travel in both directions, up and down. I suppose I could have simply cut the threaded rod, but elected not to. I applied pro-seal per the directions between the tube and the threaded rod, and inserted rivnuts to mount the plate. I'm waiting on better 6-32 screws, stainless to do a final mount. In addition, I had a pop-rivet type rivnut tool, as well as the homebuilders tool. The homebuilders tool is not designed for multiple fast use -- only an occasional rivnut. My pop rivet type tool, I broke the mandrel by pulling too hard. Consequently, I ordered a bette tool from ACS. Then noticed the Yard Store had the same thing for $50 less -- we'll see if the ACS guaranteed best price works!
