Today I took the completed elevator off the table and brought back the horizontal Stab for final work. It's been quite some time since I looked at it. I installed Ted Waltman's hinges on the two outboard ends. I also added one washer each to the two inboard hinges to get the appropriate number of threads showing.
Monday, I will dimple the nose ribs so I can add a Cessna protective boot to the leading edge. I need to scuff and prime, then do the final assembly -- rivet skin/stiffeners to the framework. At that point, all the tail surfaces will be complete except for fiberglass.
Then, on to the wings (main spars already finished), complete them by Christmas. Next year -- fuselage.
