Brief Description: Final work on Elevator

This morning, I completed work on the Elevator Horn Mod which added stiffeners to the existing Horn on SR 2500 models. There were four separate stiffeners, two on top and two below. This afternoon, I mounted the forward rib skins, drilled to #40, then #30. I disassembled, deburred, and primed the inside. In addition, I fabricated the backing plates for the counterweights. I'll finish priming and install them on my next work day. I also fabricated a 12" long plate that matches the profile of the outer ribs. This plate extends 6" aft of the spar and 6" forward of the spar, one on each outer side fo the elevator, to help with cracks that others have experienced. I'll add photos tomorrow.
Again, modifications really add time to the overall project.
