Brief Description:  Instrument Panel-rear panel mounting

I've really got my heart set on Microair Comm and xpndr. These units require a bit more room behind the panel so I had to make some angle brackets to bring the whole panel forward about an inch. Now the transponder has a remote head that is not going to be a problem with clearance. The comm will stick back pretty far thus the extra room required. The rear panel is made from .063" T3 as it will carry man more instruments than the front panel and I don't want to see any sag or flex during flight. The outboard corners were marked to let the panel down even with the upper cowling profile. The brackets are made from .050" 4130 forned into an angle and welded to the plans specified cross brace. The angles were made longer than needed then cut/ground to size. Once again another weldment that could have ruined the paint job had I decided to paint too soon.
