Today continued with the front spar. Worked on tapering the HS814-1. After that had to make a 6 degree bend in both reinforcement angles, the spar, and the doublers. Was a little nervous about how to do this but read several builders online use a good old fashioned bench vice and some wood blocks. With a steady bit of pressure close to the bend line, the AL bends quite easily. Sure enough it did the trick and with a little at a time got the perfect 6 degrees required in the plans. Turns out an aviation nav plotter works quite well for this task.
