Brief Description:  Fuel System

As I am fitting a Lycoming IO-360 (180 HP) I require the Airflow Performance pump for fuel injection, the instructions recommend that it is fitted cockpit side of the firewall. The problem with the Airflow Performance filter is that it looks very difficult to change.

Many other RV's and the Extra 300 aerobatic aircraft use the gascolator as the filter and Andair produce a high quality one (Andair 375). I will plug the primer port and add a drain as it is very easy to access. It is also located in a very strong location between the centre section/Landing gear tower and mid cabin brace so should be well protected in the event of a crash

I will use the Andair fuel selector valve from the Vans' catalogue as this is far superior to the kit valve.
