I could not get the bolt/rivet holes to line up on both F-804G Centre Section Vertical Bars (about 1/16" out) - DWG 64.
If I mounted the vertical bar on the outside of the centre section and put in the bolts and rivets they all fitted.
The problem can be seen in image one in that the top was too high. I contacted Van's support and the replied:
"The F-804G acts as a vertical stiffener for that bulkhead and can be trimmed or shaved so that it fits into position without actually touching the spar bar. In fact a gap is acceptable. Grind or sand it down a bit and throw some primer on it and build on."
