This was a silly mistake that was thankfully recoverable.
I have a quote in my workshop/garage - "Bettter is the enemy of good enough"
Whilst squeezing the Right Outboard Aileron bracket (W-414-R) I over-squeezed the first AD4 rivet - the rest were adjusted and were spot on.
Instead of accepting the advice in the Vans Manual at 5-3 about not drilling out rivets unless absolutely essential my brain went into DORK mode and I also forgot the quote above. Yes I drilled out the rivet and made it oval!!
I contacted my Inspector and Vans Support and the result was if the minimum edge distance can be maintained with an AD5 and no more than 20% affected (it was one of five - phew) then OK to use AD5. My inspector posted me some AD5's and a die and I used my rivet cutter to get the right length (metal thickness + 1.5D). I squeezed using the hand squeezer and thankfully I ended up with a good rivet that I doubt anyone will see.
