Brief Description:  Internal Pitot 1

I thought about fitting a heated pitot but the following disuaded me.

* The aircraft is for VFR - I will only go IFR in an emergency. If the pitot ices up I'll set an RPM that will give a known speed for a given attitude. Power - Attitude - Trim = Performance
* They are heavier and expensive
* They use lots of amps
* The standard tube will bend easily so if I hit a bird or an animal knocks it I can either rebend it or fit a spare that I'll carry.
* K I S S

I found a lot of instructions on the web for fitting heated pitots but nothing for the standard pitot, so this is why I have added this information.

Measure - 3.75 inches to give some flex with the bending.

Bend - I used a peice of 40mm plastic pipe

Measure - Mark fush with the male flare on the bulkhead fitting
