Today was spent marking and drilling the side hinges.
As per the plans slope up from front to rear. Most important issue for me was edge distance with the P3 hinge as it is very narrow. I clamped the hinge to the cowl and marked the centreline then checked with a light shining behind and that confirmed my measurements. To allow for any errors for being too high I drilled at each eyelet.
For the upper hinge I made sure the two centrelines were parallel and again plan to drill at each eyelet. The odd rivet hole pattern will not be an issue as this will be epoxyed over as part of the finishing.
The only other slight issue was when the hinge pin was inserted the gap at the front was too high beacuse the pin is 0.090 and the deisred gap for me is 0.063 so I removed the lower cowl marked were the pin protrudes and filed a small chanel.
