Brief Description:  Flap rigging

I purposely left the aileron pushrods out of the wing when we joined them to the fuselage knowing that I had room to insert from the wing tip later. Being the numpty that I can be I forgot that I had fitted and torqued my auto pilot roll sevo and that was in the way! DOH!

I then thought no problem rig the ailerons at final assembly but then how can I rig the flaps now? I remembered about the tooling holes in the wing tip ribs and came up with the following plan that seems to have worked (only the flight tests will tell but I don't forsee any problems) Post Note aircraft flies wings level stick free so this and the wing incidence method worked :-) :

* mount flaps as per the plans in the full up position
* run some string from the forward tooling hole and pull taught and line up all holes
* look at aileron trailing edge and check flap position
* adjust flap rod until flap trailing edge aligns with aileron and the string through the holes
* clamp flap and aileron and double check string still through all holes

The ailerons and flaps are now in the neutral position ready for the flap fairing and the wing tip fitting.
