Brief Description: F-863 Fuselage Fuel Tank Bracket
I found it impossible to follow the instructions and drill from inside the fuselage. So I:
* marked lateral lines where the two 1/8" holes were left open in the fuselage * marked minimum edge distance (MED) for AN 3 bolt on the bracket * clamped the bracket to the tank bracket and flush with the fuselage * checked MED * went inside cockpit and with a 1/8" drill bit made a mark on the bracket top and bottom * centre punched the marks (note they are exactly 3" apart) * drill pressed both to 1/8" then top to #12 * clecod and clamped bracket * match drilled top hole #12 into fuselage * removed and drill pressed bottom to #12 * bolted and clamped bracket * match drilled bottom hole #12 into fuselage
