After the initial introduction and the viewing of the RV proportional video, the decision was made to purchase and construct the RV6-A.
Communication started with Vans Aircraft and eventually order forms arrived. The order for the Empennage was posted & received by Vans on the 19th April 1997. The empennage was dispatched with United Parcel Services and landed in Australia on the 3/5/1997. Some weeks went by and still no delivery of the empennage. Tracking began towards the end of may, finally traced to the UPS depot in Ascott Vale. Reason for not delivering, there was a customs fee of $32.45 outstanding. On the 29th May 1997, the Empennage lands at the main rd at Mt Edgerton.
