Brief Description:  Many items crossed off the to-do list

It was a long productive day in the shop; we accomplished many things. We started with the aileron bellcrank bushings and, after searching high and low, ended up grinding down a thicker, deep-well socket, making it a thin-wall socket. Bob now has what he needs and will take the parts to his shop and work his magic.

Next, we worked on the brake lines. Initially, I thought I would need to install a longer brake tube on one side, but Bob came up with a plan to re-route it, and we had enough to cut some extra off the two tubes. We also cleaned up the installation. I previously used homemade standoffs, but after we centrally ran the lines and tubes, we could use silicone tape and zip ties and tie the lines together in the center between my feet.

As I worked on the aileron trim system, Bob soldered and installed the GIB's small push-to-talk (PTT) button. We finished both those projects and moved on to the remaining continuity testing. Greg and I had already completed most of the continuity testing, but a few items remained (Pitot heat, GMU-11, Roll servo, pitch servo). We also came up with a much better place than I had envisioned for the GIB smart glide switch. I wanted to "hide" it up by the bulkhead to lessen the temptation to push it. But that location posed a problem for tightening the nut and hiding the wires. The new location, down on the GIB vent platform will take care of both issues.
