Brief Description:  Prime doubler, standoffs, misc.

With the doubler on hold until I can get the correct sized nutplates, I shifted focus to next item on my current TO-DO list - the oil cooler mount on the firewall. I pulled out all the oil cooler parts and the mount that Bob sent me and figured I could remove the lower left rotisserie mount and have plenty of room to work in that quadrant. I would get everything marked and drill the holes and do a test fit it, and then I could remove it all until it was ready to go on permanently. However, I just wasn't comfortable drilling the holes in the firewall before installing the engine mount because if there is any unforeseen interference - then I was in a world of hurt. Some wasted time, but a good decision.

So, I pivoted to the cabin heat box control cable. I need to run the control cable from the right-side gear tower to the heater box control valve on the firewall. To do so, I needed to remove the smoke tank (again) and the painted lower baggage wall as I needed to cut a notch in it for the cable to run. After doing all of that I planned the standoffs for the cable supports and drilled them with the angle drill. I cleaned them up and primed them along with the antenna doubler.

I am also thinking about the oil cooler push/pull cable that will be running right along this right side to the other side of the firewall.
