Brief Description: Wing Tip #17 - Glassing the foam
I glassed in the foam and added strength to the foam structure. With the increased temps the resin was flashing faster so I had to work quickly. I would have done better to use a bunch of shorter pieces of glass instead of the two long pieces (3 ply each) but hindsight is perfect. I used wax paper to smooth it and work it. and originally used a clear plastic trash bag to wet the glass which worked well with the rather long fabric.
So, not too many pics - just an after-wet and an after-dry, where I pulled off the wax paper. It looks good and did stiffen the top of the tip a good amount. I can also use the foam to mount a wing light connector.
