Brief Description: rivet left elevator (143.75 hours)
Today I was able to get the substructure riveted up as well as the skin. I messed up 2 rivets when connecting 702 to 703 and there was a gap between the skins...no bueno. So, I drilled the two rivets out and re-rivetted them...sorry, forgot the "After" picture - but the "before" is below.
I got finished all the way to the point where I rivetted the bottom flange of the trim spar to the skin, but the instructions say to wait on the top flange as the trim hinge is inserted before the rivets close it all up. I also didn't get the 4 blind rivets "pulled" on the inboard part of the trim spar - but that will be the first order of business next time.
