After cutting the cable to length, I put the adel clamp on the cable. I then had to adjust the arm of the butterfly valve to where I needed it and tighten it. I have my control so that the butterfly valve is open when the cable is pushed in. The reason for that is normally, the valve will be open to allow cool air to circulate thru the vanes cooling the oil. It is only occasionally that I will be flying in cold weather when the butterfly valve would be closed, so I chose that setup.
Bob provided a small aluminum stop that I slid onto the cable so it will stop the cable and the butterfly valve at the closed perpendicular position. All are adjusted and work great!
