I also applied the parking brake label to the parking brake know. Since the PB cable is completely installed and the nut is tightened and hard to get to I wanted to try and apply the label without removing the cable...figuring this would save me a lot of time. I have two of the labels so if I screw the first one up, I have a fallback option...so the idea is to cut out the part where the hole usually is and slip it over and install it.
It didn't work out that easy, but it was better than taking the cable out - I think. I first had multiple iterations of removing hole for the material. I only wanted to remove enough "hole" material so that the label would fit, but not so much as to make the label rip. It all worked out well in the end and I got the label installed.
You can also see the cross I installed on the throttle/mixture/prop cover. I chose this location as it will be one of the first places I look before each flight and one of the last places I look at the end of each flight.
