Brief Description:  Pre-engine installation work #3

"...As we left off the last episode, our two would-be engine installers were about to look for the engine mounting hardware..."

Unfortunately, I deleted the bolt kit on my firewall forward order, possibly thinking that using the Lord mounts instead of Barry mounts might need different hardware, or I thought the hardware was included. In any case, my unforced error will make it impossible to mount the engine this weekend. Bob made a last-ditch attempt to find hardware and posted on VAF that we needed the "EA Dyna Bolt" hardware set, and if anyone had a set in the north Texas area, we would drive to pick it up and replace it this week from Van's. While we waited to see what might happen, we got to work on getting the fuse ready to accept the engine.

We mounted the wheels/tires, lifted the fuselage off the lift, secured the tail to the tail anchor, and cleaned up the shop by moving things to the attic, upper storage, or the dump. We continued to check the VAF postings, occasionally bumped it to the top of the threads, and had a few promising leads, but in the end, it didn't pan out, and I let Joe know that we would not need him this weekend. Bob did a fantastic job with the VAF management, and I am stoked by the amount of progress we made this weekend - a big thank you to Bob, who is always a driving force on the project when he comes to town.
