Brief Description:  Landing Gear Fairing #15

With the fairing all cleaned out, it was a matter of going thru the steps I had already gone thru. The packaging tape was still on, so we re-misted the left landing gear with PVA release agent and let it dry, set the cling wrap, put the fairing on and aligned the leading edge perpendicular with the fuse using the laser, then adjusted the up/down height and re-strung the jig. Measuring the distance between each string and getting it as close to centered as possible was then followed by locking it into position with gorilla tape, confirming the measurements again, and then foaming the fairing by just a little bit at each corner. With this process, less is more - I had to keep telling myself that. Ironically, the extra hinge holes in the fairing allowed the foam to weep, which allowed complete expansion and drying.
