Brief Description:  Mounted the landing gear + engine mount

My dad used to call these "Red Letter Days," which is a BIG deal and yes, today was a Red Letter Day. We got the Grove one-piece gear mounted on the fuselage! It took a lot of cogitating, calculating, and elbow grease, but we did it. Needing to move the fuselage to a taller base to get the landing gear slung under the fuselage and into the fuse channel, we used the tail base structure and added 2x12s to lift it to the desired height. We carefully choreographed the "dance" we were going to do and who would do what and when. It was more exciting than either of us had planned, but we got to the intended outcome. With the gear on the fuse and the fuse up on the tall base, we put the axles, wheels, brakes, and wheel pant attach plates on and realized that the bolts were AN4-20A and needed to be AN4-22A. DOH! Oh well, it was time for Bob to get on the road, so this was a good stopping point. I took the rotisserie structure off the firewall and installed the engine mount which made for more visual progress. A great weekend of airplane work, progress, and catching up - Thanks, Bob!
